This website has evolved substantially in the decade I’ve had it. It started out “A Bit to Read and a Bite to Eat,” or “A Bit and a Bite” for short. Why the name? In 2013, I told myself I'd make a website when I figured out a catchy title, and if you have a good book and a good snack, what more do you need?

What started as a cumbersome idea for a food blog turned into an even more cumbersome idea for a fiction+food site, and now it’s become my professional portfolio and home to some remnant insights and food talk.

Presumably, you’re here because you’re wondering what I can do. Let me clear that up for you. I can:

• Write long- and short-form copy in a variety of styles
• Photograph and film all things animal, vegetable and mineral
• Code websites and manage website content (biggest coding example is this page, but I’ve managed websites with thousands of pages of content as well)
• Spoil my friends and family with good food (but I’m not a caterer, just a foodie you want as your friend)

I've also organized 400-person meetings, worked with vendors, run social media accounts, coordinated expo booths and marketing campaigns, climbed trees, gone boating with alligators, said “Hi” to venomous snakes (I'm not just checking to see if you're paying attention), seen a bird's-eye view of eagles, and so much more.
